From 21 to 23 June 2019 will be held the Solidays at the racecourse of Longchamp. This music festival is organized by Solidarité Sida, an association sensitizing youth against the AIDS virus. Created in 1992, this organization fights against AIDS and informs the youngest. For this, it organizes events and events such as Solidays. Personalities like Antoine de Caunes, Magic Johnson or Jean-Jacques Goldman join this movement through concerts or charity events.
Since 1999, more than 150 artists have been invited to perform on the stages of the Longchamp Racecourse. Each year, more than 200,000 festival-goers enjoyed a variety of music styles. Since its creation, the festival has brought in nearly 25 million euros for its fight against AIDS, proof of its effectiveness and its popularity with a young audience. This has helped to support no less than 2,200 programs in 42 countries. The Solidays take place over 3 days, from Friday to Sunday evening. 5 scenes are available to spectators: 2 main and 3 secondary. The “Paris” scene, considered the most important, can accommodate up to 55,000 people at the same time.
The specificity of Solidays lies in its informative nature. Indeed, awareness raising about the dangers of the AIDS virus is omnipresent during the festival. Booths debates, prevention are set up during these 3 days: a playful exhibition of 45 minutes is even planned. In addition, all the profits are donated to AIDS associations. Artists contribute to this effort by accepting reduced or zero fees.
As every year, the programming of Solidays is eclectic. From rap to electro / techno groups to rock or variety artists, the festival offers a wide range of styles. The Belgian revelation Angèle will probably be the headliner of these 3 days, she will perform Sunday on the main stage. J Balvin, a Colombian reggaeton star, will also be playing on Sunday. Finally, Ninho, gondola head of French rap, will open the ball Friday night. The triple platinum disc will unleash the crowd with the titles of his latest album “Destiny”.
The phenomenal success of Solidays is affected by the availability of places. Every year the festival displays full on its 3 day pass. There is almost no sale left on the official box office, even for a single evening. Be careful to look for official dealers or, at least, who you trust to avoid any kind of scam.
