What to do in April in France ?

Spring has arrived! The return of the beautiful days makes you want to go out and discover new regions? Here is our overview of the major events of April in France.

For the most athletic of you, on April 14, the Paris Marathon is held. This sport event brings together 55,000 runners from around the world. The race offers you a crossing of Paris, allowing you to discover the monuments and breathtaking scenery. From the Champs Elysées to Avenue Foch, passing by the Bois de Vincennes and Boulogne, visiting Paris in an original way.

For music lovers, the Printemps de Bourges festival will welcome you from April 16 to 21, 2019. For 5 days, you will be able to listen to all kinds of music, from rock to electronics and French chanson. On 9 different stages, the event welcomes 70,000 festival-goers each year. Take advantage of these few days to discover the Cher department and let you go with the music at night.

From March 21st through April 22nd, the city of Saint-Etienne hosts the International Biennale of Design. This event, organized by the Beaux-Arts Regional School of Saint-Etienne, promotes contemporary design. Each year, the organizers combine societal issues with the world of design. During the month, conferences, exhibitions, workshops and meetings take place. This event is open to all, do not hesitate to discover it!

The month of April also kicks off the ferries in France. From April 19 to 22, the city of Arles welcomes more than 500,000 visitors, in a festive atmosphere and good mood. On the program: bullfights, Camarguaise race, musical entertainment, horse shows, parades in the city. In the evening, music and sangria take place, in a friendly atmosphere that characterizes the South of France.

Finally, if you do not want to get away from Paris, from April 12 to 15, the International Fair of Cheeses and Wines of Coulommiers in Seine-Maritime is held.
